The Owners
Kelly and Bertha Wilson relocated to western Ky. after spending most of their lives in Colorado and Wyoming. Kelly, born in Indiana, and Bertha, born in Minnesota, often visited family around the mid-west and discussed relocating closer to them. After a friend told them about a restaurant available in western Ky. they eagerly looked into the matter. Kelly, with a passion for fishing and over 20 years in restaurant management, found Kentucky Lake and The Brass Lantern too appealing to pass up and Bertha, with her financial and accounting background, found the combination irresistible.
We are looking at some new
ideas like, catering, party trays,
lunch and year-round operations. We
have enjoyed meeting all the Lantern’s regular guests and wish to invite all others to try our daily features. It’s been
both challenging and
rewarding as we look to
appeal to more taste.
The
New
Lantern Lite
and Children's
Menus were
added to
bring in more affordable
dining to families and
lighter appetites. We try to
please both the local and visitors
to the lake area. So feel free to
share any suggestions you have.
Be sure to visit The Brass Lantern Restaurant soon and often. The tradition continues.
One of the very few restaurants in Kentucky to h
ave advertised in Gourmet Magazine, internationally, the Brass Lantern was the first restaurant in West Kentucky to earn the Mobil 3-Star rating and is recommended in both the AAA (3 diamonds) and Exxon guides.
